Scythe Weapon Form by Frost-Arc Scythe Weapon Form by Frost-Arc
Ok. So like most of my drawings I got the inspiration from watching a show called Soul Eater. (No that isn't Genie Hunter) Sorry to all my loyal watchers for taking so long to put something new out. I had to move into a new apartment and I have been crazy busy having to buy new furniture and stuff I didn't have seeing as this is my first time out of the barracks and away from family. I have too much crap >.< Anyway, so I had to watch a bunch of online tutorials to practice some stuff. I tried creating a sketch skeleton and using myself as a model in the mirror to try and get the pose which helped me a lot! For being my second drawing of my character in an anthro form I was impressed with the way this one turned out. I still don't like the tail though......after 8 tries I gave up and stuck with one. I could really use some feedback on this one since I tried so many new things. Thanks again for your patience to all my watchers!!

Wow! This looks great! :D

I LOVE that scythe! It's so glowy and neony and PINK AND BLUE AND I LIKE IT SO MUCH I STARTED USING CAPSLOCK. >____>;
I think you did a great job on the pose too! I find legs are always so hard to draw so using yourself as stock is always a good idea! I've done that before too and it really does help! The way you've drawn the hand holding the scythe is nicely done as well.
I think you did a really nice job of the shading on his cargo shorts too. I'm not sure why you don't like the tail, it looks fine to me.

In terms of improvement.. I think the rocks are the only thing here. I find rocks SO HARD to draw myself so I'm really not the one to give advice or tips on them. But I think perhaps adding more shadow to them might help them blend into the background a bit more. The shadows within the rocks themselves are fine, but I think Frost should be casting more of a shadow himself into them. Like on Frost himself, the lighting is coming from the left hand side, so his shading is to the right, which you can see really nicely on hios pants, jacket and legs. So the rock immediately behind his tail, feets and legs should have some shadow cast on it I think.

The sky looks wonderful though! You've not gone too overboard with the extra sparkly stars, and that's good. You must have some patience to dot so many tiny stars! :XD:
Well done m'dear! Looks fab :lol:

Thank you! I am still working on the shading bit... There are so many different styles and some I have yet to find tutorials on. As for the rocks....yes. I think I partially rushed them just because it was late, and the other because I haven't practiced yet. I will usually spend some time just drawing rocks over and over again, but I haven't done so yet. I need to stop being lazy and start working again. Thanks for the feedback!
